Alan Clark’s stunning Hawker Tempest

October 31, 2012 · in Aviation · · 9 · 12.2K

Posting the first article on a new site takes a lot of deliberation, as one would very much like it to be reflective of the site's vision. I can find no better object to inaugurate iModeler with than this, the magnificent scale scratchbuilt Hawker Mk. V by acclaimed British modeler Alan Clark.

It is one of the very best modeling creations I have had a pleasure of seeing over the years. To me, a model like this epitomizes all the joy, creativity and achievement that scale modeling has to offer. I probably cannot ever hope to produce results of this quality myself, but it doesn't matter: I'm certain that my humble modeling projects bring as much joy and satisfaction to me as this model did to its author.
