Supermarine Spitfire F Mk.24 – 1/48 Eduard, Aires, Falcon,..

November 28, 2012 · in Aviation · · 10 · 6K

Hi everyone !
This is the kit (reboxed by ) with Aires engine set and cockpit set. I also used Eduard´s flaps and Quickboost´s cannon barrels. The canopy from a kit was too thick and scratched so I replaced it by new one from Falcon´s set. I added a lot of detail on the surface - rivets and screws. Many details I made myself. After completion I use Mr.Surfacer for unification of the surface before painting. Best choice for painting was using ´s acrylic colors from RAF shades. This camouflage is from Kai-Tak Air Base, Hong Kong, 1950-1951. Thanks for taking the time to look :).

  9. I have an Aires engine set for one of my Corsairs- can't wait to open it up like you did with this spit! Georgeous build man- I have one of these and a Seafire in the pile- plan to make mine as the all over metallic finish option in the kit- the Mk. 22.
