The “Wairarapa Wildcat”
1/48 Hasegawa P40 Kittyhawk Mk III built OOB with kit decals representing Geoff Fisken's famous mount. Images done with a Canon Powershot SD600 Digital camera.
The Olive Drab is a home mix of green and brown with red and yellow added and a fine, heavily thinned mix of Faded OD by Modelmaster (all enamels) oversprayed to give it a greenish tint. The Neutral Grey underside is lightened Tamiya NG enamel.
The exhausts are done in Alclad burnt metal and darkened with Smoke and very thin black.
