Hasegawa 1:72 F-14A

December 7, 2012 · in Aviation · · 9 · 5.3K

Hello everybody, this is my 1:72 I made some time ago. This is one of the best kits in this scale I've ever made, full of details and a dream to build with no filling or sanding at all. Painted with Gunze acrylics and weathered with oils as usual.
Hope you like it!
Best wishes and happy modelling!

Emeterio.

  1. This weathering is a joy to look at. Thanks for sharing. /M.

    • And yes, I have the same kit in my stash but have always been hesitating to start on it due the sheer number of parts = long construction time. What is your experience compared with other kits in this scale?

  2. This kit is really a joy to build despite the number of parts. The fit is perfect so it will go on fast. The model is straight out the box and I spent on it the same time as if it was an 1:48 model. I'm sure you won't have any problems with it.

    Thanks for your kind words.

  3. Emeterio...It's a beauty, and nicely weathered. I only hope my 48th scale comes out as nice.

  4. Wow...after seeing this build, I may go over to the "dark side" myself - at least for this kit - stunning workmanship, sir.

  5. Emeterio! One of my own favourite kits but I have to disagree with you on one point: I think it is a quite complicated build. Being careful pays off!

A very fine looking Tomcat, that weathering is really great!

    Regards Magnus

  6. Nice dirty bird with everything hanging - looks great.

  7. Lovely Emeterio, lovely!

I thought this one was a tricky build, perhaps I dare to get started on mine after all…
Nicely done with flaps and slaps lowered, also beautiful paintwork and most of all, striking weathering!

    Regards
    Rickard
