Saber Dog Hasegawa 1/72
You don't see this one built much, it's a 'middle period' kit, scribed panel lines, but soso detail. I didn't know that Eduard had a very nice detail set, until after the build, but I used their 'zoom' set to get seatbelts. I scribed the slats off, scratched some rails, and built up the area beneath with epoxy putty. I used the kit decals, and painted it with Polly Scale acrylics, the panel lines were accented with a Sharpie.
I like Hasegawa from that period. Basic interior detail but nice shapes with delicate panel lines. You've done great job on the kit.
That looks sharp. The NMF is an acrylic? How durable is it?
With a light 'satin' overcoat, (as insurance, and to blend in the decals) it's the usual Polly Scale, plenty durable. I did use one trick on the metallics, I thinned in part, with Future, it seems to even out the metallic pigments, and produce a fair approximation of NMF.
Merrill... Holy cow, I thought you never strayed that far from WWI subjects. Your Dog Sabrejet looks terrific. Nice job.
Jack, I do try to keep my flexability, and the challenge of NMF is always a challenge.

I have that kit as well and I have also thought about how seldom it is seen built. It is a real looker! Maybe people are scared of the NMF?
