  1. Great Jug Darren. Is thsi an ETO machine? or was it deployed in the SEAC?

    • HI Gregor
      South West Pacific.
      Thanks
      Darren

      • Actually the Central Pacific. They were first at Hawaii where some were involved in the Japanese attack, then assigned to Canton Island in 1942-43, back to Hawaii, then Saipan, then on to Okinawa. Their Group commander in 1945, who was flying over Kyushu and saw the atomic bomb explode over Nagasaki, had first flown in combat in a P-36 over Pearl Harbor on December 7. The 318th has a very interesting history.

  2. Very, very nice. The finish is great.

  3. Beautiful paint job, nice panel lines wash, immaculate job on the decals and great photos. It doesn't get much better than this. Another great Jug.

  4. love these bolts...looks like miss mary lou

  5. Model is great! 10 points.

  6. Beautiful work. Another 10

  7. The nit-picking irrelevancy of "location, location, location" aside, the MODEL you posted looks outstanding...of course, I may be biased as the Jug is among my favorites of the era. You did a great job on her, sir...I dub thee a "ten".

  8. Love the jug, beautiful job. But specifically like it for the name. Our pilot was no city fella, "Smokepole" being a common term used by us whom shoots muzzleloading rifles to describe our pieces. The P-47 was certainly a Big, heavily loaded Musket!

  9. Love a good jug and that is a very good Pacific jug.
