Fill ‘er up…1/48 Hasegawa Ki-44 gets gassed.

February 6, 2013 · in Aviation · · 5 · 1.8K

I had built the Isuzu petrol truck with the Ki-45 Kawasaki "Nick" it came with, and thought it would work well with the Shoki too. So I set up this quick scene using a generic base, a couple of drums and a bicycle from an Eduard japanese ground crew set. The represents a plane of the 85th Sentai in China 1943.

  1. Yep, that's very cool! And, as someone who still drives an Isuzu Trooper, thanks for the Isuzu truck!

  2. No wonder that s****r won glory at a Nats. The paint job is true art.

  3. Wooops!... sorry- I got confoozed again... I knwo this one isn't the Nats winner- it was the Ki-84. Hey, I'm just a myopic Kraut-a-holic... Japanese radials all look the same to me. 😉

  4. This is a wonderful build Bill @billkoppos!
