Tamiya 1/12 Ferrari 312b

March 11, 2013 · in Automotive · · 5 · 3.2K

This is the last of my car posts until I get pics of my Batmobile. This is another highly detailed kit built straight from the box. I believe this one is also piloted by Mario Andretti. These kits are not for the novice modeler. They are very detailed and can have some fit problems like I had with this one... I remember putting it up on the shelf a few times before I finished it.

Wow! Nice formula 1 race car from the 70's!
Thank you for giving me that feeling that I always had when I saw these cars on TV as a kid!
There is NO Formula 1 racing car today that even comes close to having such a "charisma" as the "old timers"!

  2. Very nice looking build & finish Chris. But then how does one not love anything/everything Ferrari? Cool design period this one... somewhere in the transition from cigar to rocket ship. God, I have an overwhelming urge to build a 1/24 Tamiya F-60/Enzo... Mmmmm... carbon fiber decals on a shiny red thing... somebody help me, please...

  3. Love it, I always wanted to build one of the Tamiya F-1 kits, this one is great.

  4. Thanks for the comments...feel good...And Stan, I think the only color a Ferrari looks good in is RED...ohhh yeaa...

  5. Great job - the 312B was beautiful and one of the last of its kind.
