Trumpeter 1/32 F8F-1 Bearcat
May 20, 2013 in Aviation
This is my first submission to I-Modeler. This is an OOB build. This bearcat is the Air Group Commander’s aircraft of VF-19 during 1947 I enjoyed doing this kit as it is one of my favorite airplanes. Painted it with Model Master enamels thinned with lacquer retardant. Overall it was a well designed kit. I folded the wings as I felt they did not look that great in the extended position due to a sloppy fit. Actually I think it has a bit of class with the folded wings. I felt that overall there was a lot of interior build that was unnecessary and never to be seen again. I look forward to building the 1/48 Hobby Boss bearcat to compare them.
I look forward to being a part of I-Modeler and being allowed to show off some of my stuff. My model room, model cave and some of my collection.
