God of Research Dana Bell presents the most detailed and useful book about the early P-40 - the P-40, P-40B and P-40C - available for modelers. And just in time! If I told you more I'd have to shoot you, but in the foreseeable future modelers will see a highly-detailed and accurate injection-molded P-40B/C model from a major kit manufacturer. More than that, I cannot say. But when it arrives, you will appreciate having this book in your library to guide your efforts in turning out a top-quality model.

Renowned researcher and author Dana Bell has gathered never-before-published photographs from the Curtiss and USAAC archives that go a long way in revealing the detailed truth about the iconic early P-40 - inside the cowling, inside the cockpit, and elsewhere. Period color photos show clearly what Olive Drab and Neutral Grey really looked like, as well as other markings. The book is concerned with P-40B/C aircraft operated by the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1940 to 1943, and does not cover use by the Royal Air Force or the American Volunteer Group. Nevertheless, the detail photos will be immensely useful to anyone doing any early P-40. Using this book, an experienced modeler should be able to create an early P-40 model as detailed as they wish.
