1/48 Monogram T-6 (SNJ)

August 23, 2013 in Aviation

I think this 1/48 effort by Monogram was one of their best. It’s always been a fun build, no matter how many I’ve done. I believe I picked this up as a $1.00 bag kit, and thought I’d play with it. While the paint scheme is purely fictional, the idea of a float on a T-6 is old news, I came to find out. It’s always fun to display because it gets some weird looks and even stranger comments.

  1. I like the color demarcation.

  2. A fine subject. You just don’t realize how many different aircraft there were during those years between 1927 and 1970. This is unique to me and I think it is a head turner.

  3. that’s a beautiful model
