1/48 scale P-47D Razorback by Hasegawa
This is a basic build in comparatively unusual colors -- Nationalist Chinese in 1945. The USA was supplying arms to many allies in WWII, and we needed fighters to protect our B-29 bases in SW China, as well as our transports flying "over the hump." Thus we provided Jugs to China.
I used decals from the spares box to match a profile I found in one of my sources.
Paint is all from different bottles -- each marked OD Green -- which have found their way into my paint locker over the years. It was an interesting exercise in dissimilar, yet similar colors! Apparently the Chinese had a paint color shortage as the aircraft was OD on top and bottom. Only the canopy frame was in medium Green.
