1/72 Antares Curtiss SC-1 Seahawk
This is one of those subjects that fills a void, nothing more. By most 1/72 standards, this kit is crude. The most eye catching part is also the worse part, the canopy. This would have been a great piece to vac-u-form, as it's pretty thick. As most my kits are OOB, for better, or worse, I used the stock piece, with Future applied. There are some fairly nice decals, enough to do a couple versions. While some versions are more striking, I went with the one I felt was more widely used in-service..
Nice work. Photos of SC-1s show most of those that saw operations were in the tricolor scheme. But the overall GSB lets you see the shape better.

Very nice build of an unusual aircraft. Compared to my 1:72 VACUFORM "Seahawk" your model is a show winner! I built my version in 1977, had no idea what I was doing, it was my first Vacuform model. I like your paint job, mine was a tri color and a "wrong" tri color paint scheme at that. See, model aircraft kits get better and better over the years, your kit was "crude" mine was "junk".
I like it Joe, especially because it is a crude model brought to life through skill and craftsmanship.

Another little beauty. I think you must be like Tom and build a model every thirty minutes. Whatever you do you turn out some good looking models.
