September 2, 2013 in Aviation

Here are a few shots from the aircraft museum on Malta, as you can see the Smithsonian it aint but it is all operated and owned by volunteers and is a credit to them. There is an IPMS group on Malta and there is also a display of there work and believe me it is as good as I have ever seen, check out there web site.

  2. Good stuff, Neil. Malta’s on my bucket list…

  3. Any museum with that many airframes that can be hanger ed and worked on by volunteers is impressive.

1st time I’ve ever seen a museum displaying a Spitfire with the flaps down.

Thank you for posting…another one for the bucket list.

  4. Thanks for sharing, Neil…looks like a 1:1 scale WIP – 🙂

  5. The Seahawk, Spitfire and Hurricane look like excellent restorations, as does the Tiger Moth (I think, can’t tell for sure in the darkness). The Gina looks to be still original.
