Monogram C-47….ready for the D-Day drop –

March 1, 2014 in Aviation

Possibly the consummate D-Day representation. As with the LST, I detest painting figures SO MUCH, that the airplane looks rather “bare” without a load of troops waiting to board, but hey…at least I got the invasion stripes on straight (I think).

  1. Iconic Craig is the word I would use for it. How many of those flew across the channel on that day and afterwards.
    Nice job on the C-47.

  2. Looks great. What rattle can color did you use? Looks like your going to have the D-Day build covered.

  3. Good looking Gooney Bird, Craig! Got a big soft spot in my heart for that old airplane…

  4. Beautiful Model / Beautiful Work!

  5. A beautiful model, my movie Band of Brother comes to mind when they had the Easy Company discontinued

  6. Good job, Craig, a classic aircraft well built and finished.

  7. Craig,
Such an iconic airplane to represent D-Day. Very nice job on this wonderful Monogram kit.
