  1. ...and a real attraction she is. Very appealing!

  2. You certainly made this not-so-easy kit into a real showpiece...nice work.

  3. Very nice, puts mine to shame! But...really...we have to have a chat about well, those, Marine markings 🙂 Seriously very nice build!

  4. One of my all time favourite planes Eric.
Cannot wait to see it in AMW and on here.

  5. You know Eric, I have seen hundreds of F-4's in all the available scales over the years. I have never seen that loadout of Napalm cannisters configured as you have in the Sparrow bays. That is a cool war load. One of the nicest Academy F-4's I have seen built to date. An outstanding piece Eric, well done.

    • Hi Chuck,
Thank you for those very kind words!

The napalms cannisters are not in the Sparrow bays, which are emtpy. They're on a centerline MER. I've added a photo which makes it a little clearer! 🙂

This exact loadout, including the Zuni tubes, can be seen in several photos in Squadron Signal's "USMC Phantoms in Combat" and similar loads in the more recent Osprey "US Marine Corps F-4 Phantom II Units of the Vietnam War".

It was fun doing something a little different!

      Cheers,
      Eric

      • Thanks for that bottom view, it is funny that if anyone has done this configuration before I didn't catch it. That is one for the road. Kinda makes one want to start on such a project. Get away from just an Air combat config to close air support mission instead, I like it,

  6. Whoooaa! That's just down-right purdy!
Straight from the box or wing resins?
Looks great; but it can't hover! LOL!

  7. Very nicely done !

  8. Who doesn't love a Phantom? Nicely done Eric.

  9. Looks ready to go. Very impressive.

  10. Nice Phantom. The USMC schemes were cool. I like how you added all of the stenciling.

  11. sweet build

  12. Eric,
This is absolutely gorgeous. A remarkable job of a remarkable airplane.
To make it all the better it is USMC.

  13. Not sure what 'AMW' is, Eric, but it's certainly a lovely looking model.

  14. Looks cracking that Eric. Modelling of the highest standard!
