This is the P-40M kit with the Aeromaster resin P-40F/L nose and Aeromaster decals to do "Ace of Pearls" of the 99th Fighter Squadron (Tuskeegee Airmen) when the squadron was attached to the 79th Fighter Squadron i in Italy in early 1944. The 79th was operating as a fighter-bomber unit in support of the Anzio invasion at the time.

A resin True Details P-40N cockpit (the only one available at the time) was used on the kit. A Squadron (Falcon) P-40M vacuform canopy was used also.

  1. You've still got it, TC. Fine work on both the Mauve and H'gawa.

  2. Cool, you don't see many Merlin engine P-40's and this one looks great! Like it a lot.

  3. Very nice, a desert camouflaged Warhawk is always a pleasure to look at !
