RevellT-72 M1 in 1/72

June 25, 2014 in Armor

my first article here on this side is my T-72 from Revell. It was my first Tank in this scale since
my youth, the last one was a Jagdpanther from Esci, when i was 14 !
The build was totaly fun and i am about to do my very own “World of Tanks” in this scale.
I hope you like it !

  1. Very nice. Revell has some good 72nd scale armor kits.

  2. Like it – nice work there!

  3. Thank you very much for your replies. These kits are very nice, if you looking for a cheap and relative easy to build project, this is it.
Normaly i do aircrafts, but sometimes you need other things like masking,
clear parts, fuselage bands and so on, and its a challenge too.

  4. Beautiful Bernd! You haven’t thought about adding some figures? I am an aircraft guy too but was “forced” to do a pair of figures for my first armour build. After some initial despair it turned out to be both a fun and very rewarding experience!

    Best regards

    • Hi Magnus. You are right, figures bring more “live” to AFVs
I am starting to add pilots and ground crew to 1/48 aircrafts
the results are hmmm, promising : – )
So in 72nd my armor kits will be crowded later on.

  5. Looks good Bernd, a nice first posting.
    Well done mate.

  6. Nice looking tank, Bernd, especially in this scale, looking forward to seeing more of your work.

  7. Thank you very much, Simon and George, comments are always motivating!
Posting pictures on Imodeller is thankfully much more easier as on Aeroscale
and not so time consuming. And more feedback : – )
There will be comming much more, to share with you.

  8. Bernd,
beautifully done and the mark of a master modeler.
