F-86 Sabre in 1:48

August 26, 2014 · in Aviation · · 23 · 4.6K

Hi again, this one is also from the last year, 's in 1:48 scale with addition of Eduard's cockpit, CMK Gun and ammo bay and full scratch build of air brakes compartments.

This one in particular depicts the plane in state when it arrived to Yugoslavia as a part of military aid by the United States. Squadron/serial numbers were done per american standards. Later, this plane was repainted in yellow and used as a part of aerobatics team of the Yugoslav AF.

Painted with Alclad, weathered by oil.

This was the first time that i have used Alclad colors and I had lots of issues with it (mostly my mistakes 🙂 ) So, to cut long story short, this plane was repainted once again after the decals and panel color variation was achieved by oils.
