A Messerschmitt 109 in Normandie

November 5, 2014 in Aviation

I decided to try to represent Bruno Fischer Messerschmitt 109-G6 during the Battle of Normandy in July 1944 near Evreux.
I had some difficulty with assembly and the quality of my painting. This arrangement almost fly into the trash until the last day. But finally I finished. Now I have to create a support for the place in my showcase.
Used enamel paint from Humbrol brands, Modelmaster and Aeromaster.
The decor is a mixture of several decals Eaglecalcs edition.
The pilot comes from Hasegawa Fw 190-D9.

  6. Nicely done all around Eric-I empathize with you as I’ve been working on the 1:32nd PCM Spitfire MK XIVc for over a year now…its been kicking my butt the whole time so when I get that “it’s time for it to go against the wall” feeling, it goes back on the to be continued at a later date spot on my shelf. It’s a good thing that you didn’t trash it after all the good work you put into it.

  7. Looks great Eric. Paint work looks good to me.

  8. Postings like this prove that we can’t have too many 109s, great finish on this despite your “problems”.

  9. Fantastic 109 Eric. Well up to your usual high standards. I like it a lot.

  10. Great work! I like your paint work on the pilot figure.

  12. Very nice Eric – love the detail on both the 109 and the pilot
