Airfix 1/24 Typhoon Lots of PARTS
Starting to look like sumpin. Lots of scraping and sanding, but the plastic is soft so it goes fast!

Looks to be a good start, keep us "in the loop". And it appears you'll have to do a little rearranging on that bench as the build progresses. lol ๐
Inspirational to say the least. Maybe after I finish my Hurricane, I'll break out my 1/32 Revell Typhoon and see what I can do with it. Keep up the good work.
I'm jealous of those who build 1/24 and what's more have room to keep them ๐ It looks impressive, the cockpit is awesome, and yes, keep us in the loop. Can't wait to see more.

Having built this kit (http://imodeler.com/2014/09/under-the-skin-hawker-typhoon-mk-1b/) I can confirm there's a lot of scope for super-detailing. I also ran a WIP thread on the build last autumn, if it helps.

Thanks I'll take a look, sticking with OOB except for replacement canopy. Hard enough to get finished without duper-detailing
I had TWO canopies in my kit and both were damaged, also a few missing items. I think I had an early production model. Air fix replaced missing/damaged items but still annoying in middle of build having to wait a month for items to arrive that should have been in kit to begin with.
You get a cockpit like that OOB!? Not my scale, but I may have to try this kit just because it's so impressive! The Typhoon is a cool bit of kit as well. I'd love to hear one of those Sabre engines running! (Maybe when Kermit gets finished with his we all will be able to!)
You should see the detail on the engine! For anyone who wants to see more, the instructions are on the web in PDFs form check it out! I paid $116.00 for mine 1/24 th scale at 1/2 the price of a ZM 1/32nd
Nice build so far, lots of detail. Just a suggestion, next photo shoot, it would add to the value of your build if you add some more ambient light to the photos. I "saved" your photos in photo shop, enhanced them (lightened), and wow, there's a LOT of detail and skill in your build. Just a thought...
Thanks, those are IPad shots, the finals will be professionaly shot at work in the studio.
