  1. Greetings :

Robert Stanford Tuck ... I do remember the DT A. I thank you very much. I had the old Revell 1/32 scale Hawker Hurricane. At this date, I am still hunting for it, I know it is not good to today's standard, but I still want it. It is more of a sentimental thing. Just like the P-51 Mustang in the markings of Don Gentile, his Shang Gri La. The F-4U Corsair in the markings of Ira Kepford. The P-40 War Hawk in the markings of Headman in the Flying Tigers. I had the P-47 Thunder Bolt, I remember I had to paint it as that of Neel Kirby, for that time there was no decals like there are today. The 109 of Adolf Galland, Erich Hartman, Helmut Wick, Hans Joachim Marsille and others. These were all 1/32 in scale and made by REVELL. I am still in the hunt for them, I found them by means of E-BAY, the down fall is ... they do not accept Money Orders. But I never give up.

That is a nice model, you did well, thanks for the memories.

  2. I'm a big Hurricane fan - more so than the Spitfire. At any model show people bring in their beloved Spit only to find there are fifty others just like it, but Hurricanes are more rare.

I did the Mk1 in 1/32 from PCM about five years ago, and have a Mk2 Trumpeter kit in Special Night Finish (I think maybe the first project I ever posted here).

    Your build looks great.

  3. I'm in the Hurricane fan club as well. As much as I enjoy admiring the beautiful lines of the Spitfire, I think the Hurricane looks more of a fighter aircraft. This "old" model has turned out well, looking forward to seeing the new one.

  4. Well done Paul. I used that kit for last year's BoB group build, and I can appreciate the work required to make that kit look as nice as yours.

  5. nice job paul! love those old tool kits.

  6. Nice build Paul, the old Airfix still are some beauts of kits.
    As yours has shown.

    Well done sir.

  7. Paul,
What else can be said to praise this model. I wil just say that it is gorgeous and skillfully done by you

  8. A very nice Hurricane, Paul ! Good job on this old but still good kit, mine still waits to hit the bench
