Eduard 1/48 scale P-40 N

April 5, 2015 · in Aviation · · 17 · 1.7K

The original , reboxed by and released as one of their profi-pak kits. It comes with some very nice resin and PE parts. The resin floor is a problem, however the plastic floor works better and looks just as good. The rest of the kit is great. Nice PE stuff, and enough left over to use it on your Airfix or Hasegawa kits.
One of my favorite WW2 airplanes. Every WW2 airplane modeler has to have a on the shelf.

  1. Very nicely modelled, Terry.

  2. You did a good job on the OD finish. Shading and panel highlighting is done to good effect on this one. Well done!

  3. Very well done!
You are right about the P-40 being a fav - the slightly longer N model is my fav of the P-40 family and you did it very well -

  4. Excellent rendition, sir...well done.

  5. Beautiful finish Terry. Very nice job all round.

  6. Nicely done ! An elegant airczaft.

  7. I have always enjoyed the old Mauve kits, still have one in the stash. Beautiful model!

  8. Nice build. P-40 is probably one of my favorite birds (iconic), and if you're going to have one or more on your shelf, at least one should have the shark mouth! I like your finish work also.

  9. Terry,
I also really like the P-40 and seeing what you have done here is the reason why. This is beautiful.

  10. Greetings :
Very good work. But I must confess, it is kind of odd to see a P-40 without a shark mouth or a skull.

  11. I've got three of these shark mouth models on my shelf, including the old Aurora kit I built in 1960! Very nice work on an iconic aircraft.

  12. Looking at this I can see why the P-40 is so popular, very neat model.
