Dragon 1/72 Mig-15Bis Ex LR Korea, USAF

June 8, 2015 · in Aviation · · 7 · 2K

Build from the box in the nineties, decals applied by Cutting Edge
paint Xtracolor .

On 21 September 1953 a disenchanted North Korean pilot made a decision that changed his life and American history. Lt No Kum Suk flew a MiG-15bis with the tactical number Red 2057 to the American zone. He was offered $100,000 to defect and he did it.
I finished this kit in the markings the aircraft carried after escape at USAF Okinawa.

Beautiful Mig 15. This aircraft was evaluated back in the US by Chuck Yeager. Well done!

  5. Nice bit of history, well built, great paint job, I like the metal finish.

  6. Jets from this era are very attractive, and this one is just that little bit different.
