  1. P.k, I agree that Hasegwas Zero 21 is the best available of its mark in 1/48. I was waiting for Tamiya to do one of their own, to upgrade what they already have, which goes way back. They did redos/ upgrades of the A6M5/5A, and the A6M3/3A, so you'd think that would follow. The "new" ones aren't cheap, but they are state of the art.
Tamiyas V-1 is the most available, and again the best in 1/48. There were some short run variants, forget by whom.

    • Yes indeed Tamiya has the best ZERO in 1/48 type 22 and late middle 52 both of kit I have two.
Hasegawa also got a dozen of variants and one pack at 70 anniversary BOX .

      • Me, too! I wanted that 70th Anniversary box, but missed it. Rats!
I started out with the Aurora Zero, which was a long way from what we have today. Rivets, solid cockpit and gear wells, insignia embossed on the plane. Molded in yellow plastic.
For years folks thought Zeroes were yellow!
        We've come a long way!

  2. Yes a full of ZEROS in my stash ..

  3. Nice looking models! That is one of my favorite finishes on a zero.
