1/48 Hasegawa A6m2-K trainer 302nd Naval Group.1945

October 11, 2015 in Aviation

Fairly weathered due to being an old A6m2. Taken off combat duties, fitted with a second cockpit ( at the expense of the front pilots canopy.) I really enjoyed this kit and love a bit of orange. 🙂

  1. Really smart looking build, Paul.

  2. Beautiful. I like the orange trainer scheme!!! Well done.

  3. These Japanese planes certainly make attractive models, nice one, Paul.

  4. Nice build not often seen….”at the expense of the front pilot’s canopy” – was this an actual omission or a result of your “kit-bashing”..?

  5. Paul, really good looking build of a seemingly obscure version of the Zero.
Whose version of IJN green and orange did you use? I’ve always wanted to do one of these. Did yours have the target tow equipment with it?

    • Thank you. I used model master enamels. Imperial Japanese Navy green, and a generic orange, which I toned down to as close as I thought would be right, going by some old colour pics. Hard to know for sure of course. 🙂

  6. Hadn’t seen one of these – I want one in 1/72! Very nicely done – those unusual schemes are fun to see.

  7. Nice one Paul, a colourful looking bird, an unusual one to.
