iModeler September Awards
October 11, 2015 in Uncategorized
Once again it is time for our monthly retrospective – a look at some of the notable additions to iModeler during September. 84 new articles were posted to the site’s headlines during the period, prompting 1143 comments.
As per our tradition, we are awarding the Best in Show title to the entry that wins this month’s prize, but also list runner-ups as Honorable Mentions. We think that all are great modeling accomplishments that deserve recognition. The jury comprised of @editor, @aisak, @magnusf and @halvarvonflake.
Every month, all Headline contributions are included in our traditional honorary prize draw. We’re looking for the entries that represent the month’s highlight in terms of modeling quality and presentation. We also allot an award to a randomly chosen article to emphasize that all contributions to this site deserve recognition.
Please don’t hesitate to join iModeler and take part in our next monthly roundup!.
iModeler Best in Show – September 2015
Our choice of the September 2015 Best in Show is the Spitfire Mk IXc early 1/48 modeled by Christian Wery @christw.
As one of the judges wrote: “When I first saw this project, I thought – excellent Tamiya 1/32 Spitfire. Reading on and seeing that this is the 1/48 kit from Eduard … I just couldn’t believe my eyes.”. The immaculate quality of Christian’s model make it stand out, but it also speaks a lot about the determination and skill of the modeler. Excellent work!
But wait, there is more! – the Random Award
We are also awarding a prize as a token of appreciation to all our contributors. This is selected through an entirely random draw among all the entries of the month. This time, our lucky winner is Robert Aspinall @robert-aspinall for his construction blog on 100th scale HMS Victory. Thank you for making iModeler a learning experience!
