Mitsubishi Raiden

October 29, 2015 in Aviation

This is Tamiya’s lovely Raiden in 1/48. Sweet little bird, had a lot of fun weathering it too. Enjoy the pix. 🙂

  1. Nice weathering!!!

    Like RAIDEN

  2. Nice little build….good work.

  3. The wheel struts are supposed to be straight to the ground(90° angle)

  4. P.k and Craig thanks a lot
Matija, according to the instr. sheet, struts do have a camber; might not be as pronounced as my build but this is more or less their natural state when assembled – was a pretty snug fit – i just made sure the wings were level.

  5. Nice job – I like the muted tone of the yellow especially. My efforts have been a bit stark, and I’ve been trying to find the right combo of paint color and weathering to tone it down a bit, and really like what you’ve done here no these Japanese recognition bands.

  6. That full frontal view does make the undercarriage look a little strange, maybe it’s just the photograph accentuating it; whatever, it sure looks like a neat little build.

  7. Nice build, the Tamiya Raides is still a nice build and it shows. Thumbs up!

  8. Very nice. Very cool aeroplane.
