  1. I’ve been hearing nothing but good things about the “new” Airfix kits, so I’ll be looking forward to your thoughts and opinions about this build. I understand from what I’ve seen/read, that this one is a real beauty to build and finish. Be sure to keep us “in the loop” on the progress. Congrats to you for this well-deserved honor.

  2. Gary, we’ll look forward to seeing it at the airport.

  3. Congratulations, Gary !
Beyond that, I really much appreciate your outdoor photographies !

  4. Well done, Gary, look forward to seeing it on iModeler!

  5. I don`t think you will have any problems with this one Gary.
Look forward to seeing it tin Headlines.

  6. You mentioned you like the hot rod mags in your byline. Just browsing back through your postings: where’re all the rods!?!

Anyway, good luck with the Mark V.

    • Man, those cars just too difficult for me! I did build a bunch of model cars when I was much younger…like 10-16 years of age. I used to scratch build funny car tube frames (Pik Up Stiks) and interiors (card stock) with working hinges for the body. But then I got into real 1:1 cars and scale model cars sort of fell away. Many of those cars are still in big old cardboard boxes. I should maybe “rehab” a few of those. 🙂

  7. Congrats Gary. These new Airfix kits rival the best kits on offer from Tamiya and Hasegawa in terms of detail and fit. Can’t wait to see your Spitfire!!! Hope you can conjour up a Beurling Spitfire from Malta!!!

  8. 🙂 To many more builds from all!

  9. Hey! Thanks everyone; I was so lucky to be the random winner. This kit is so cool. I hope I can do it justice!!

  10. Gary, if you can make rail dragsters out of Pik Up Stiks, this oughta be a walk in the park!

  11. Gary,
    Congratulations, well deserved
