Hasagawa 1/48 Macchi 202 Folgore

January 10, 2016 · in Aviation · · 6 · 1.8K

Here is another fighter for your viewing pleasure. This one was also built strictly OOB. Sand and Spinach camo free hand airbrushed using MM Enamels, and minimal weathering using chalk pastels and the Tamiya weathering System. Enjoy.

  1. Excellent workmanship, sir...nicely done.

  2. I've these camo styles done as a 'reverse' process, where the green was sprayed first, then covered with irregular patches of masking or blu-tac, and then sprayed with the lighter colour after which the patches are removed and hey-presto Italian camo.

    Nice work, by the way.

  3. I have to love a Macchi. It is a most lovely plane and you produced a fine bit of work.

  4. Haven't seen one of these built for a long time. A really graceful aircraft & beautifully done George.

  5. Great looking Italian fighter. The 202 has such nice lines, and the Italians had some of the best looking camo schemes of the war - makes for a nice combination! Well done model.
