Finished! – 1:48 Scale, Airfix Hawker Hurricane

April 5, 2016 in Aviation

I got this one done, my third for this year! A honey of a kit, loaded with detail and great fit!! Loved building this model and I’m gonna have to pencil in another one, just because!

I hope you like the end result, and I saw earlier, one of these great kits was posted, in the same markings of Flt Lt Kenneth William MacKenzie, RAF.

First I’ll have to knock out the models sitting on the shelf as “Half Builts”.

Have a great evening folks,

Freddie from LI

  1. Beautifully done, sir…..nice work.

  2. I would really built this kit, unforgettable airplane, classical and striking. Beautiful job.

  3. Another good looking Airfix Hurricane, much appreciated.

  4. Ditto – another great Hurricane! Wish you had a bit better light for photography so we could see better. Hate to hide all that wonderful work in shadows!

  5. This is one of the best kits around of the Hawker Hurricane. I have this one in the stash and it’s crying to be built. You did an amazing job on this one. The weathering is superb as well.

  6. The quintessential Hurricane. Sand & spinach with the big grey code letters. A pugnacious little fighter and an excellent build.

  7. Done three and will likely do more, it’s just such a nice kit to build.

    Great work, Freddie.

  8. Thanks gentleman, I loved building this model. Lots of detail inside and out, and very well engineered. “This ain’t you father’s Airfix anymore!!”
