  1. I look forward to this event every year…..the models are the BEST!

  2. You're killin' me...I gotta find a different hobby! 🙁

  3. Who would have thought that the dreary SE5 could be made to look sexy (and we get dog tricks!).

  4. Some great models there and the modelling skills on show really quite inspiring. Well photographed to, which really helps.

  5. What I find interesting about Monson is that it is the Disney World of modeling with its creativity and innovation. Looks like there are a lot of artists ...people who think of light and shadow and like to explore the guts of aircraft , tanks and vehicles. Let it all hang out, creating a feast for the eye to explore. With panels, cowlings and hoods being opened. Something that a mechanic and engineer could appreciate and admire. On the other hand some folks like to see things buttoned up and ready to go. Something along the lines of what a pilot would think. Either way this is the Olympics of modeling . Thank you Martin for your time and effort in supporting the hobby and making iModeler so special.

    • I'd agree with you that the level of artistry and creativity is very high, which is exactly the reason why I'm trying to share such a broad coverage of the show.

  6. Stephen. beautifully put! Thank you!
A columnist in an old Flying Review once said modelers fell into two (broad) categories, the artist and the engineer.
Me. I'm trying hard to be average.

  7. Those are all sensational models. Great photos, too.

  8. I just looked at this post and note a date of April 18, 2016 and today is January 13, 2020..
