68 Roadrunner

May 23, 2016 in Cars & Motorcycles

This is an AMT 1968 Roadrunner kit. To get the stance I was looking for I had to lower the front and raise the rear axle. The paint is MM Nassau Blue lacquer with two coats of Future. The wheels are from an AMT 69 Barracuda and the tires are from a Monogram NASCAR kit. I didn’t have enough BMF to do the hole car so I hand painted the brightwork.

  1. Ah, the “good ‘ol days” when muscle cars were abundant…this being one of my favorites. Thanks for he memories, sir. Nice job.

  2. Bruce, outstanding paint job, nice clean build.

  3. Very smart. Silly grin machines I call them because that’s what I had on my face every time I drove one. 😊

  4. You’ve captured the look of this car beautifully, Bruce, I love it. Not sure if those tyres are road legal, though………

  5. 🙂 … Greetings … 🙂 :
Very nice work on that ROADRUNNER Bruce, and that pain job and color is very remarkable. The photography work is very good.

  6. Nice example, you get a great feel for the car itself – super work Bruce!
