1/48 Hobby Boss P-61B

July 13, 2016 in Aviation

After a year of sitting on the shelf of doom the P-61 is finally done. Finished with Tamiya paints, weathered with flory wash and finish with Alclad matt coat. Decals was from Kits World . Enjoy 🙂

Cheers Brian

  1. Nice job, Brian….I like it.

  2. VERY well done throughout……from build to paint.

  3. That came out very nice, B

  4. that came out looking pretty cool! how would you rate this kit compared to the old Monogram one? Either way, nice results!

  5. As a teenager I build Monogram for those times top kit.
Now put in the stash GWH 1/48 and it is waiting for the realization of.

Hobby Boss kit would never buy a little music for a lot of money.
    Nice build.

  6. Well done Brian. Looks like some nice shading work done on the interior.

  7. Nice job Brian, I like the 50 shade of black!

  8. I have to agree with Roberto Brian. Black is so hard to capture. Really great job. I love the cockpit photo.

  9. Well done, like how you got the black to look blotchy on the top surfaces. Not so easy to do on a black scheme. I have the classic Monogram kit, was going to get a Great Wall kit, but seeing yours maybe the Hobby Boss kit looks pretty good. I was to build two of them down the road. Thanks for sharing.

  10. Definitely a thumb’s up on the black paintwork, and very neat canopy framing as well, as Chuck said above, thanks for sharing.
