  4. Nice work. According to General Carl's story he told me at an AFAA convention, this airplane was a "hangar queen" they found on Espiritu Santo when he completed his tour and the PIO was making a press conference for him. "We stuck Japanese flag stickers on it and I sat on the wing and they took pictures and it became my airplane, despite the fact I had never seen it before or even sat in the cockpit." That was true for nearly every Solomons ace - nobody had their "own" airplane.

    But like I said, very nice work on the model.
