1/32 Tamiya F-15I Ra’am

August 17, 2016 · in Aviation · · 14 · 3.8K

Built this one awhile back. Made it by combining both the F-15J and F-15E kits plus a bunch of other parts and various scratch built bits. The is my favourite aircraft and the Israeli's make a very colourful variant which I feel is much more striking and interesting than the USAF's Gunship Grey version. Plus it looks quite futuristic with those Pythons strapped on.

One side of the aircraft is kitted out with laser guided bombs, and one side with satellite guided bombs. This one is from the 69 Hammers Squadron and has the giant bird on the tail. This is one of my faves. Enjoy!

  1. Hello David,
Simply the best, better than all the rest.

  2. These Israeli versions always offer colourful variants, and you've done a superb job with this.

  3. Looks fantastic, live this scheme!

  4. Outstanding, sir. One of the best I've seen. A stellar build indeed. Great job!

  5. Great looking Eagle! I'm with you - love the IAF scheme - probably my favorite camo combination.

  6. I am quite impressed. Excellent!

  7. Thankyou all gentleman! I have at least two more planned, both a F-15DJ and another F-15C, all in aggressor markings.

  8. That's a great build! First time I've seen one in Israel's camo. I like the weathering effect on the undersides of the ordinance. Very cool build.

    • Yeah I tried to keep the weather subtle overall as the Israelis keep their F-15i's very clean. So this was done in the usually method using blacks and whites for tonal variation but kept it very subtle. For the bombs and weapons though I added more weathering as they don't get cleaned quite like the airframe.

  9. A splendid rendition of a true classic! Well done!

  10. Great work David, very nicely done.

  11. Fantastic covers it nicely David.
