August 9, 2016 · in Aviation · · 14 · 1.6K

This started out as a Westland "". A few cuts, a few added pieces, a few cold beers, and here we are. I forgot to ad, a few squirts of rattle can aluminum. No detail, no reference, nothing but FUN !

  1. Hey Joe, I want some of whatever you're drinking!

    Very cool!

  2. Boy...I'll bet that woulda been fast, huh...?

  3. Looks good, nice idea, the cold beer too. hmm, what about a F-82 racer.

  4. Hey Joe, its always good to let creativity go wild sometimes, or life is just boring. Good work on this !

  5. Looks Fast, Good imagination or was it the beer.

  6. Sure looks fast Joe.
    Nice to see you back.

  7. Nothing like having a little fun hey, Joe? After all this is suppose to be a hobby. I'm sure the beers made the effort even more enjoyable. BTY, I like the way the Whirlwind turned out.

  8. So much props! 🙂 Great idea!

  9. You could have added one on the tail while you were at it….looks pretty fast Joe.

  10. Joe, great idea for a whiffer. If it had lasted 'til postwar, strong possibility, as least at low level. Look at the Thompson race here into the late 40s, and I've seen Spitfires racing in GB at the same time.
The engines were a problem with aircraft, so it came and went quickly, shame.
    Looks prettier without the camouflage.

  11. You've turned a good looking fighter into a terrific looking racer, Joe, your "magic" has worked again.

  12. Fun-looking project and nice result!
