Ronnie Ray-gun. About the submarine mission into the Sea of Japan in June 1945 - the nine boats were "Hydeman's Hellcats."

It's funny, how an airplane with so few camo options is so popular with modelers.
When you consider that the only changes in the airframe from the first prototype to the last one off the line was an engine change (R-2600 to R-2800) and detail changes (canopy, specific armament, etc.) it has to be considered the most successful fighter design ever.
You can never go wrong with one for sure. There are a whole lot of cool finishing options out there to build a really unique plane. The F6F is my second favorite plane, right next to the Corsair. Thanks for sharing your builds with us Tom. They are all excellent, and I would be hard pressed to pick a favorite out of these.
