CH-47D Tribute build

Hello iModeler! Here are a few pics of a scale I recently built for a friend, who is a veteran and former Chinook Flight Engineer. I used decals for the serial number of his aircraft, did a lot of scratch building on the interior, and used photos of his actual aircraft as reference for painting and weathering. If you like, you can follow the entire build here:

Cheers!

Lovely finish and nice present to your friend.

  3. Great model! It would be very interesting to look inside ))

    • Thank you Dmitry! Once finished, I didn't get any pics of the interior aside from what can be seen above, but you can get a better look inside the cabin by clicking the link to see my work in progress thread. 🙂

  4. Great looking build, Ramon...and a fine presentation as well.

  5. 🙂 ... Greetings ... 🙂 :
Job well done Ramon. The weathering is spot on. Your friend I trust is very proud to have it. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

  6. Well that's put my attempt to shame!
Awesome work mate, and a very cool work in progress. The level of detail inside the interior is really impressive. You have obviously put a lot of work into it. Great end result!

  7. That really looks spot on Ramon, took several rides in CH-47's. Well known for being faster than an Apache.

  8. Nice looking helo Ramon

  9. Ramon, I think you've captured the dirt and grime so typical of Army helicopters perfectly. Very nicely done.
