Matchbox 1/72 Halifax

February 19, 2017 · in Aviation · · 12 · 4.3K

Hi guys, another one from me. Completely rescribed, interior completely upgraded, but you can't see it from the photos, exhausts came from , props are reshaped and thinned, gun barrels are Quickboost. Paints are Gunze, exhaust stains and wash Tamiya. Thanks for looking, comments are welcome!

  1. Nice work on a scale I tend to avoid...I like yours, though.

  2. I love these four engined WWII aircraft, lots of extra work has gone into this one, another very neat looking model.

  3. Now that's a scheme you don't se very often !, Well done Igor. I like this very much.

  4. Yes, nicely done Igor.

  5. Wonderful work on reviving this old lady of a kit. 🙂

  6. Awesome to see this blast from the past! I built this kit as a 12 year old in 1985. She looks great in Coastal Command colours. Well done!

  7. Lovely Igor! I built the Matchbox Halifax B back when I first got back into modeling, before I knew what words such as "rescribing" meant, or that after market parts existed. Doesn't look as good as yours, but still graces my display cabinet.

  8. Thanks you very much guys, more heavies coming soon. 🙂

  9. Great work, Igor. Keep up the good work.

  10. Hi Igor,
Excellent job. You did put a lot of work into this model.
    It was worth it.
    Regards, Dirk/The netherlands.

  11. You've done an admirable job on this, Igor. Mine's been sitting unbuilt on various shelves since it was first released, but it's one I might get to - OoB, not detailed as you have so amazingly done. Congratulations!
