Water Wings group build

February 28, 2017 · in Aviation · · 7 · 1.5K

Deadline is upon us, so start posting those builds! It looks like we had a pretty good turnout for this one and I'm pretty excited to see what turns up, even after keeping up with the build logs. Again, no worries if you're not quite done with your models. The group will still be on line so you can post when you finish. I'd like to ask everyone to post to the Headlines section so that the iModeler crowd can see what we've been up to!

My build was a 1/72 Arii Cessna 172 on floats, completed last November, squeezed in between a few other projects and life in general. My plans to do the Academy PBM fell a bit short, but it is on the build list.

I'd like to thank everyone who participated and hope that all of you had some fun with this one.

  1. Appears to be a pretty straight-forward and easy build, my friend. Nice work.

  2. Looks good Jaime, neat little plane.

  3. Cool airplane, Jaime! I can't contribute anything to this build except admiration, but Ii did ride in a Cessna floatplane much like the one you're showing over the Lake of the Ozarks. Floatplanes are awesome & your model does them justice.

  4. Good job Jaime, and I enjoyed building the Albatross for this group. It was fun as well as a good idea.

  5. Neat, clean build!

  6. Well done jaime.
    Looking forward to your PBM.
    Regards, Dirk

  7. Sweet little bird, Jaime. Great variety available in 1/72, but too dang small for my eyes.
If I knew that floatplanes were allowed I'd have finished the kit bash that I've kinda stalled out on.
