1/48 Academy P-51B
This is the Academy (Accurate Miniatures) 1/48 P-51B. Maketar masks were used for the national insignia and squadron codes. I replicated the scheme that came in the box but painted the markings on instead of using the supplied decals. The exhausts and pilot seat are from Ultracast and the wheels are Eduard Brassin. This is the first build for me with invasion stripes since I was a kid. The model is painted with Gunze Acrylics.

Really nice one, Geoff. I realize there are more fading and shading than I really can see on my screen. Stunning colour scheme!

Good-looking Mustang! I like blue-nosed 51’s, but man, does that ever clash with the OD scheme! First time I’d seen those two together.
