Gloster Meteor FR Mk 9 – 1/72 – MPM – Operation “Musketeer”

April 7, 2017 · in Aviation · · 20 · 2.8K

The 's Kit is not properly an high-tech kit, but it's easy to assembly and accurate.
I immediately liked the colors of this plane used in the Operation Musketeer, 1956.

  1. Perhaps not a"hi-tech" kit, but your build certainly is. I like it!

  2. Don't see too many Recce aircraft, and this one is attention grabbing, given the hi vis paint. That'll stand out in a lineup of Meteors. I haven't seen this scheme before, thanks for posting it.

  3. markings choice is awesome! And I thought corsairs with black and yellow stripes were pretty impressive to look at!

  4. As a fellow modeler, I understand the desire to seek out and find the rare and unusual, and this certainly is. However its extra special when its done this well. Looks very nice, Paolo, I like it !

  5. So, where did you come up with the squadron markings? I have an Airfix kit that has the necessary parts to do the FR9, given my interest in Op Musketeer models, this interests me a lot.

  6. Thanks guys, this my first article on this site.
I have many old models to bore you...

  7. If your old models are anything like this Meteor then I'm sure they won't be boring.

  8. Impressive build and display.

  9. Ottimo lavoro, Paolo!

  10. Delicate attention to detail. Very nice, although some might quibble with the extent of shadow on the panel lines in the grey areas. Otherwise a worthy entrance.

  11. Beautiful build, especially for the scale (my scale of choice!). Glad you've posted Paolo, and hope to see more of your work. Great selection of schemes on this one - very colorful and eye-catching.

  12. Hello Paolo,
Like mentioned above, never seen this color scheme before.
Excellent job on this little gem.
    Regards, Dirk / The Netherlands.
