Heller 1/200 Stella

April 17, 2017 in Ships

This kit was built around 25 years ago straight from the box in those days I knew nothing of fillers. I dont remember any problems with this kit other than it being fiddly. It has survived several house moves. It has never had a cover so has done well to survive. I dont have any details about this ship. I suspect its fictional. It is 13 inches long and 11 inches high built up. I dont know whats going wrong with the last two photos. I have tried everything but for some reason they load up sideways. I may take new photos and try again and delete these two.

  1. Very cool. I’ve never seen a ship with turrets or whatchamacllems

  2. It’s done well to survive all these years (and all the moves) – must be a pretty sturdy model.

  3. It’s certainly an unusual looking ship but obviously a survivor.

  4. An unusual build, great work!

  5. 🙂 … Greetings … 🙂 :
Interesting and unusual ship for sure Anthony.
Those turrets do make it look kind of strange but it does bring to mind those seen at EL MORRO and on the Spanish Galleon Galease Ship La Stella del NORTE .
I would send you pictures if I find a way.
    Nice work. Good historic piece.

  6. Thanks DE4EVER. I will have a search online later to see if i can find anything. Thanks.

  7. I remember this kit from an old Heller catalogue from the late seventies.
First time I’ve seen one finished.
    Thanks for sharing.
