Mig-15, Tamiya 1/48

October 17, 2017 in Aviation

This Mig model is supposed to be an older idle machine somewhere on the edge of the airport somewhere in Russia.

The model is without accessories and I built it as a test of metallic colors and riveting.

  1. Hi,

Fantastic model and beautiful paint 🙂

  2. You’ve managed to get a great deal of character into this small model. Really nice modelling skills on display here.

  3. Really like what you’ve done here, my friend….one of the best I’ve seen. Turned out beautifully..!!

  4. Tomas, this is really nice, a very realistic looking model !

  5. The riveting is FANTASTIC, Tomáš.
I’d love to learn more how it went and what you used to get them aligned so nicely.

  6. This is son beautiful I want to hug it.

  7. It shines up really well and strikes an impressive pose.

  8. Impressive Mig! Fantastic artistic view of an aged NMF plane, and your riveting is very professional also.

  9. I think Rob said it perfectly; it’s the character of this model that stands out. Brilliant.

  10. Simply fabulous. I’d love to have that kind of skill at metallic finish. Looks like it’s about to jump off the screen.

  11. Brilliant. I think we need another Tomas tutorial, this time on riveting.

  12. Very nice indeed, I love the paint job, perfect, well done Tomas.

  13. Dear G*d !! – I want to do natural metal fishes like this when I grow up.

    Jaw droppingly good.

  14. dude that is AWESOME! that is how I want my metallic finishes to turn out! Excellent work!

  15. Ditto what everyone else said! Really excellent. It really does come alive. I also love the unique tile pattern on the base. Really? On a Russian base?

  16. You succeeded beautifully in what you set out to do!

  17. Krásná práce Tomáši, je to nádherný kousek…
    Great job! 🙂

  18. Thanks for commenting. I was riding on this model for the very first time. Most of all, I used a straight metal ruler and a self adhesive tape of 1 mm thick.

  19. Congratulations for being the month winner. Well deserved!
