1/48 Hasegawa Henschel Hs-129 B2

November 20, 2017 · in Aviation · · 19 · 6.9K

And, another comes from me.. As a matter of the fact, this is a very old build, many years ago.
This is Henschel Hs-129 B2 with the markings of 8.Pz/Sch.G1 in the eastern front during the spring of 1943 . The “Red J” flown by Lt. Rudolf Heinz Ruffer -a Knight's Cross holder- was lost to Soviet ground fire on 27 May 1943.
Only modification is seat belts.
Painting was done with Gunze Sangyo acrylics. Upper surfaces are painted to RLM 70 / RLM 71 and the lower surfaces to RLM 65.
The decals are from the box

Happy Modelling

  1. What a treat - 2 Hs-129's on the same day! Excellent work Tolga - as usual!

  2. You keep crankin' out those masterful builds one after another, Tolga. Great job, sir!

  3. Yep, another Hs129 but also another beautiful model, and another masterpiece Tolga.
Now I should really consider building the one I have in my stash...

  4. Tolga, this is GREAT! I've always thought this plane was nice looking, as well as purposeful.

Your model(s) of it are outstanding! (As are your other builds)

  5. Tolga, looks like we may have started something, Hs129 week !, good looking build here, and great looking paint finish, Well done !

  6. So pretty. Really well done.

  7. A well rendered Hs 129. Like the subtle weathering you did on this one!

  8. Very neat work, Tolgur.

  9. Thanks for your comments..

  10. Another Tolga masterpiece. Beautiful work.

  11. Not the most glamourus subject, but you’ve made it so.

  12. The Henschel 129 was the German equivalent of the Russian Ilyushin II-2
or today's Warthog A-10 . All three have a armored cockpit to protect the pilot. The Henschel had such a small cockpit that some of the instruments had to be mounted on the engine cowlings. The usual tight Tolgur teaser. Two thumbs up

  13. Tolga, despite it's functional look, nice work, as per usual. Love the marking syou chose, even the infantry storm badge. (not gonna try German on that one)

  14. Very nice, love the weathering

  15. Tolga, magnificent job. You are the Rembrandt of model painting.
