Euro Scale Modelling 25 november 2017 IPMS The Netherlands

November 26, 2017 · in Show Reports · · 8 · 2.5K

Yesterday 25th of november was our anual big event organised by the Netherlands. Euro Scale Modelling as it is called moved this year to a new and larger location. The Houten Expo near Utrecht has 3 large exhibition halls which where allmost filled up with everything what's got to do with plastic scale modelling and also a section for the papercraft builders.

There is allways a raffle with a lot of nice prices to be won, and every hour a superprice, with this year even a full airbrush set to win.

I am also a volonteer during these days acting as steward for exhibitors, and preparing things in advance during the build up on friday evening and at the end of the show.

For this reason I was not able to have time enough to go around for a full picturebook but I hope my small selection is ok for you to have an idea of our event.

New plans for 2018 are allready in the making, and there is more space available for IPMS Holland to grow the event.

And offcourse my stash got al little bigger in the end as the last picture shows.

Cheers,

Ferry

  1. Love the VAW 115 Liberty Bells E-2C, I was in that squadron in Japan! Then there is that Godawful clown-fish VRC 40 COD... Wonderful build, not taking anything away from that for sure, but damn I got to see the real thing at a change of command ceremony, we all laughed at it!

  2. Some beautiful work on display there, sir...too many pieces on which to comment. Thanks for sharing the photos.

  3. A good variety of models on display there, Ferry, and it looks as though you’re going to be busy!

  4. The paper harbour looks very good. Thanks for posting Ferry.

  5. Some nice stuff on display - fun to see an Ecuadorian Kfir like mine! Love what you added to the stash. When you get a wild hair to build one of those obscure French planes (the Potez, L&O or Bloch), let me know and I'll "buddy build" one of mine with you (sometimes I need a little incentive to pull something like that out of the stash...!).

  6. Some nice work there Ferry, thanks for sharing.

  7. Hi Ferry,
Thanks for sharing. I visited it also, and it was well worth the trip.As usual, the organization was excellent. Compliments to IPMS Netherlands.
Did I spend some money, yes, on Xtra Color paints and by Airbrush Services Almere.
Boxes, no, I am waiting for the wingfold systems for the Fairey Firefly MK 1 and MK5. From Wolfpack in scale 1/48.
    Regards, Dirk / The Netherlands.
