P-51D Mustang, "Duchess Arlene", Tamiya 1/48

November 13, 2017 · in Aviation · · 12 · 2.8K

Hello colleagues modellers

Today I will share with you this legendary 332nd FG Marking Machine piloted by Lt. Robert W. Williams

The model from is absolutely trouble-free. I used only a few etchings from Eduard to the cockpit to build.

The metal surface is sprayed with Alclad

  1. Beautiful build, sir...simply stunning work (and photography).

  2. Very nice and agree with Craig. You know the photography is good when you don't notice the background

  3. Fantastic and authentic NMF and weathering makes this one a winner! Well done.

  4. This what I love about a older model (date of manufacture) when done right they stop the show. To some people the new Meng kit is at the Apex of modeling technology and therefore, holds the mantle of "Best". Then Airfix is coming out with their interpretation of the classic P-51D. Apparently, they used scanning technology, not as expensive as the Meng kit more in line with what you'd pay for the Tamiya. They all look like winners when done properly. No reason to through out those old Tamiya kits...

    Two thumbs up Toma's

  5. Another real beauty! Well done.

  6. Tomas, this is another winner! Beautifully done, my friend!

  7. Thanks to all for positive comments. I've built this model before the time I just started. I'm modeling for about three years

  8. And again. Good lookin build.

  9. Tomas, nicely done! Only 3 years! Very good!
