Telford kit news – Airfix 1/72 Vickers Wellington preview

November 11, 2017 in News

Due to be released next May, the Wellington Mk Ic looks to be a stunner of a kit! Seeing this amount of interior detail in 72nd scale shows how far Airfix has come over the past couple of years.

  1. It looks like Airfix will deliver yet another winner… how about a quarter scale in the future?

  2. I agree….Airfix needs to “up-size” their moldings. 🙂

  3. Boy, this is a long way from their original one. Interior! The geodesic effect looks good, too.

    • That takes me back Bernard, to the days of building kits on my grandma`s kitchen table or dining room table if I was lucky.
I have been looking forward to this being redone. Also I agree with Craig, a 1/48 scale.

      • I had a vinyl covered box that our canister vacuum was stored in. I used the top, which had rings of various colored paint on it. Otherwise, on top of a large book, on my knees. I’ve been hoping for Messers Airfix to redo some of their older kits, this being one of them. What an improvement! Hallibag next? Sunderland? Stirling? Ad infinitum.
