Part 1. Pilatus PC Mk 21, 1/32 scale, Scratch Build

December 24, 2017 · in Aviation · · 16 · 2.9K

Here are the first build pictures of the PC Mk 21,

What I did first was trace all the rib sections and fuselage halves onto tracing paper and transfer them to a sheet of plastic card.

Once I completed that I started to cut everything out and sand it down, I then matched up the fuz halves and drilled holes to join them together, you will see the match sticks I used to keep the two halves together, the reason for the two haves is so that I can vac u form the two haves when I have finished shaping the fuselage halves.
I then cut all the rib sections in half taking the thickness of the fuz halves into consideration and started gluing the rib sections into place.

The next step will be filling the gaps between the rib sections with balsa wood, and then shaping them with sand paper ready for Vac u forming.

Hope you like it so far, now its time to celebrate Christmas.

Please PM me if you have any questions.
